    I believe you missed one of Daria's powers—Speak With Animals which she demonstrated during their assault on William Appleton's evil mad science facility.

    I think she also demonstrated Comprehend Languages at some point, although I'm not sure where.

      I don't recall her using Comprehend Languages but I might give her a small bonus in Speak With Animals. Her powers really aren't translation powers, so I won't give her much of a power there.

      No, that cat was a telepath (she told it how to build a psi-wall to shield itself from outside thoughts overwhelming it - ironic, considering that she can't do anything more than that for herself), and Linguistics (the MSH name for it, it'll take a while to synch up the DC names) was one of the abilities that the scientists as USAES found she has the potential for. She also has the potential for Telelocation (telepathic tracking, if she has some object or 'mental focus item' of the victim to scan with).

      Her mental blast is up there, too (although to date, she's only manifested it in VR, but she'll use it in RL for the first time in 14.5)

      I just looked them up. I thought that one of Daria's primary problems was that she didn't have any mental defenses, and that she was so strong that her 'bleedover' could hurt lesser psi-talents... and give away information in her mind to any psi-active who could stand being in her presence. Well, that - and she's so powerful that her powers have a harsh effect upon her body ('the beep of doom' - or was it 'beep of death'?) :-)

      Iron Will is a resistance power against forms of mental control. This includes powers like Broadcast Empath, Control, or Hypnotism. She basically resists MIND = 8 + 5 = 13 rather than just MIND = 8.

      The problem is that it doesn't protect you against mental attacks like Aura of Fear or Mind Blast. Mind Field in the writeup creates a mental sphere that protects you from mind attacks. Self-range "shrinks the sphere" to just Daria and even though you normally can't attack through a Mind Field, Daria can. (Which, if creating the character, would double the base cost and add +1 to the Factor Cost.)

      Well, she did do pretty well against Lance Strine. I don't like to think of Daria as being completely defenseless mentally, but I might lower both Iron Will and Mind Field by a couple of points in the v2 writeup.

    Uncertainty by the way is a "self-doubt" modifier, meaning that the character is not always certain in her actions. At some critical point in a fight, Daria will be forced to have the lowest initiative score and act last.

      She did what you said, when you described him. Strine's a mid-range to high Class Four 'the Mike Tyson of telepaths; he'll win 95% of all his fights, but if you hit him hard enough in the first round, he'll fold.' He was stupid enough to give her an opening and she walked those Class Five boots all over his astral ass. :-)

      Hey - perhaps her getting these defensive boosts are part of the restructured reality.

      She probably can, but we've just never seen it used. She could certainly break an attempt for someone to Telepathically reach her.

      It also explains the reason why every telepath below Class Three levels avoided her like the Tenth Plague - before she started wearing the Mark 31 she was issued. There's some twisted ways of doing that...
