(Possible) DC RPG power rankings for the Legionnaires

After seeing a PM recently, I was inspired to divine the statistics of the Legionnaires - using the DC Comics RPG system. (I'm a Marvel Super Heroes RPG fan since the Nineties, and I still use it for generating characters - so, this was the very first time I've done this.) I tried to make this believable, using the things that we've actually seen occur in the actual Legion of Lawndale Heroes fanfic series.

Of course, this isn't etched in stone, just my opinion. Let's hear your opinions!

(BTW - here's the link to the online DC Comics - MSH RPG conversion lists I used for this post. Give it a glance, and see how your views synch up. )

More of the characters (possible) stats soon!

Legionnaire statistics - DC RPG levels

Daria -

DEX - 3. Legion training has helped, but she’s still Daria.
STR - 2. Barely. Same as above.
BODY - 2. Same as above.
INT - 6. It’s Daria, after all.
WILL - 5. It would be higher, but she still hasn’t mastered self-control when obvious triggers are in play (as her recent visit to Li’s McMansion showed).
MIND - 8. Honestly, it should be higher, but Daria has no inner mental defenses, still needs to work on her mental fortitude, and hasn’t allowed anyone who could have taught her techniques to be anywhere around her.
INF - 25. It’s the Daria Multiverse, after all.
AURA - 11. Only Jane, Quinn and Julia, of all of the Legionnaires, could be higher, and (at present) only Mack could match her.
SPIRIT - 4. When she matures, this will rise higher (where it deserves to be) - but right now, she’s still our Daria.

Jane -

DEX - 6. This comes from natural ability, a lifetime of athletics and three-plus years of Legion training/conditioning.
STR - 3. Same as above.
BODY - 5. Same as above.
INT - 4. She’s bright but lazy.
WILL - 10. She’s probably one of the highest ranks in the Legion to date - only Fran, Quinn and Julia have higher; the former through life experience and the latter due to persona and training.
MIND - 10. The same as WILL.
INF - 24. It’s Daria & Jane for a reason.
AURA - 12. Only Quinn and Julia (at present, because of her history and familial connections) could be higher - she is the First Legionnaire, after all.
SPIRIT - 9. Only Fran and Julia can match or surpass her at present.

Quinn -

DEX - 4. Power yoga in high school, dance or ballet (as we saw in Monster), and three years of Legion athletics.
STR - 2. She’s stronger than she looks, but still barely a 2.
BODY - 3. See DEX above.
INT - 3. She chose to get into explosives training and never blew anyone or herself up.
WILL - 15. She’s probably one of the highest ranks in the Legion to date - only Julia is higher (due to persona and training). She’s always been stronger, and survived a multiversal trip with no ill effects and with her personality intact - and even the residents of other realities reacted by commenting that she’s the same person.
MIND - 7. That attempted rape messed her up for a bit, but she’s come back strong. This will rise in the future, without doubt.
INF - 25. It’s Quinn Morgendorffer. Need we say more?.
AURA - 17. See INF above. She’s cute enough to start cults, she's spent a lifetime manipulating everyone male (really, she could do her own 'Helen of Troy' thing) and she possesses the power of lightning - the symbol and power assigned to the greatest of divine beings.
SPIRIT - 4. This will rise as she gets older and more secure in herself as a person.

  1. Bigly looking forward to this. One site you have to go to is www.writeups.org.

For Captain Marbles, who is probably going "wha the hell?", here are the stats of the DC Heroes Stock Average Person.

    http://www.writeups.org/dc-heroes-stock-average-person/
    http://www.writeups.org/rules-dc-heroes-rpg-stock-police-officers-stats/
    http://www.writeups.org/rules-dc-heroes-rpg-stock-ninja-stats/
    http://www.writeups.org/rules-dc-heroes-rpg-stock-soldiers-military-stats/
    http://www.writeups.org/dc-heroes-rpg-stock-thugs-and-criminals-stats/

You'll note that the stock average person has a value of 02 in all of the following stats:

    Physical Attributes

    DEX: Dexterity: Quickness of reflexes.
    STR: Strength: Muscle and power.
    BODY: Body: Toughness.

    Mental Atributes

INT: Intelligence: Governs perception and skill uses.
WILL: Will(power): Force of will/ability to concentrate
MIND: Mind: Mental resilience, sanity, and memory

    Spiritual/"Mystical" Attributes

INF: Influence: Charm or the ability to manipulate mystical forces.
AURA: Aura: Force of personality or mystical power.
    SPIRIT: Spirit: Spiritual resolve.

Each of the above categories (Physical, Mental, Spiritual) has three attributes associated with it, as you can see.

    a) An "action" attribute, which is your ability to "hit" something - DEX, INT, and INF are the action attributes.
    b) An "effect" attribute - if you hit it, how hard was it hit - STR, WILL, and AURA are the effect attributes.
    c) A "resistance" attribute - if you got hit, how easily can you absorb/deflect/ignore the hit? - BODY, MIND, and SPIRIT are the resistance attributes.

    1. For the LLH universe, we may consider raising the average WILL, MIND, AURA and SPIRIT of the average person to 3 - to reflect three concepts (that I've been working off - one canon to the DC Universe, one to Marvel, and one to LLH).

For DC - as we saw in 'Invasion!', back in 1988, the Psions discovered that (rounding up) thirty percent of the human race possess the genetic potential for metahuman abilities.

For Marvel - that ALL humanity possesses (on an baseline level) the potential for psionic or mystical ability)

For the LLH universe - that as a result of her defeat in the 'Worldburner Conflict', the being known as Judith has set in place a 'fallback' protocol that she called the 'Spoilsport Agenda'. In addition to the shifting of time/space/reality and events within, Judith caused a new wrinkle to be added to roughly fifty different realities after the Worldburner failed - and for the LLH continuity, the wrinkle was that Magic (before, a limited force that was rarely seen) was now a major force/function/part of the new, reworked reality.

With all of this in mind, perhaps we could make the attributes I mentioned slightly higher, to reflect that almost everyone has the potential (if they actually found a way to harness/train/tap into it) to develop very low-level psionic or mystical abilities... and that far more people than would be expected could develop actual abilities of potent levels. (This also explains why you see so many villains and creatures try to drain human souls or minds; while only a limited/small level of energy could be taken, the average human could still provide psionic or spiritual energy/life-force/'mana' for harvesting by, well, different sources.

It's an idea we may wish to consider.
