(Possible) DC RPG power rankings for the Legionnaires - Part 2

Following up of the post from yesterday, I've done DC RPG power rankings for the rest of the Legionnaires (based on what we've seen on them both in story, and from their entries on the Daria Wiki).

Sandi -

DEX - 5/9. Three-plus years of Legion training/conditioning and becoming Armalin’s padawan has given her skills. Think of her as Robin - a year into his career as Batman’s sidekick. (the second number is Sandi using her powers to increase her physical powers.
STR - 3/6. Same as above/using her powers.
BODY - 4/6. See STR.
INT - 3/6. See STR.
WILL - 6. Partially personality, partially Armalin’s training.
MIND - 7. The same as WILL.
INF - 8. She’s considered to be the first true warrior in the Legion’s ranks.
AURA - 8. Same as INF.
SPIRIT - 5. This will increase with experience, training and time.

Tiffany -

DEX - 6. Training and resolve gets her there.
STR - 2.
BODY - 2/21. The latter number is when she uses her powers.
INT - 2.
WILL - 12. She faced down Judith with a rifle to protect Daria and kittens - because those were her orders.
MIND - 9. See WILL.
INF - 7. This will rise.
AURA - 7. Same as INF.
SPIRIT - 6. This will increase with experience, training and time.

Charles -

DEX - 12. This is due to his powers.
STR - 3. He could go higher, but that would require shape-changing.
BODY - 14. Definitely due to his powers.
INT - 8. He mastered the Gridrunner - one of the most advanced aircraft on Earth - in weeks.
WILL - 12. He’s been in a number of battles to the death, and he’s been able to not only win, but come up with intelligent tactics in the heat of battle to defeat his enemies and save himself. He’s also able to work alongside Daria without fear after she threatened to mentally assault him (if he ever violated any female legionnaire’s privacy).
MIND - 12. See WILL.
INF - 9.
AURA - 9.
SPIRIT - 8. This will increase with experience, training and time.

Brittany -

DEX - 7. She was already compared favorably to Buffy Sommers - and that was before three years of Legion training.
STR - 3.
BODY - 6. She was a cheerleading captain and a martial artist of noted skill before the Legion. She’s no stranger to pain or physical effort .
INT - 2. She’s Brittany.
WILL - 7. She was a cool customer when she needed to be BEFORE the Legion.
MIND - 5. See WILL - and consider that she still has issues.
INF - 8. She’s the epitome of the ‘All-American girl’ image (blonde-and-blue, busty and fit). If her INT score was 4 or higher, this number could increase or even double.
AURA - 8. Same as INF.
SPIRIT - 3. This will increase with experience, training and help with her personal issues.

Stacy -

DEX - 15. Easily.
STR - 5. She could probably lift her motorcycle or a marble desk easily. Stacy can lift 2,000 + pounds (1 ton) with effort, or 800 pounds easily..
BODY - 6. She can run or fly at supersonic speeds with no harm to herself.
INT - 6. She’s easily the smartest member of the former Fashion Club, and is exceptionally skilled in mechanics. Placed in the same circumstances, Stacy could have become the Waverider’s mechanic as easily as Jax.
WILL - 4. Training has helped, but she’s still Stacy.
MIND - 3. This number is because of her Legion training.
INF - 15. Stacy is the single most physically-attractive member of the Legion, and oozes sexual appeal to both genders (and this is without her metahuman periods of estrus making her more sexually appealing/receptive). She could easily become a modern-day 'Helen of Troy', if she wanted - and remember, Armalin had to make it official that Legion Tower personnel were not to try and take advantage of her.
AURA - 15/3. Same as INF/the latter number indicates magical potentials.
SPIRIT - 3. See MIND.

Tom -

DEX - 3. He could do better, but he’s lazy.
STR - 2/25. When he uses his strength, he’s a solid Class Five physical augment, with strength equal to a Daxamite or Kryptonian with normal physical health
BODY - 2/16. He’s up there, but a killing assault from Jane nearly did him in.
INT - 5. See DEX.
WILL - 2. See DEX. Running away from your problems and Grandpa having to come and lecture you for you to go back does not speak well for backbone.
MIND - 3. This number is because of his Legion training.
INF - 9. He’s a Sloane and a Legionnaire.
AURA - 8/3. Same as INF/the latter number indicates magical potentials.
SPIRIT - 2. See WILL.

Mack -

DEX - 7. He’s an excellent athlete who’s taken his Legion training seriously, and his mutant physiology has boosted his physical attributes.
STR - 3. The man is fit.
BODY - 6. See DEX.
INT - 5. He knows how to study and takes it seriously.
WILL - 7. He has never gotten in any legal trouble or major trouble, and when he was harassed by police for DWB, he didn’t roast them.
MIND - 8. See WILL.
INF - 13. He was a star athlete, a favorite of Angier Sloane, the first Black Legionnaire and (as history tells us) the very first Legionnaire to be considered a ‘superhero’.
AURA - 11/5. He’s the first ‘superhero’ to rise from the Legion ranks, and people see the ‘good guy’ attitude in the way he carries himself. The second number represents the fact that he has the elemental affinity of Fire, and although it was suppressed after the events of Worldburner, it implies that Mack has the potential for using mystical and alien artifacts. (He is of the 'Lawful Good' alignment, and is capable of using a Defender Ring without it turning on him.)
SPIRIT - 9. He’s the most famous ‘first-Black’ on Earth, and the pressure hasn’t gotten to him.

Trent -

DEX - 4. He has to move around on stage without tripping over his feet or running into his band-mates for two-four hours plus.
STR - 2.
BODY - 5. See DEX.
INT - 2. He’s lazy and unmotivated.
WILL - 2. See INT.
MIND - 2. See INT.
INF - 8. He’s the ‘hot, brooding musician’ to Brittany’s ‘all-American girl’ - and like her, would be higher if he was more intelligent.
AURA - 6/2. See INF for the first number/magical potential for the second.
SPIRIT - 1. He bends like a strand of licorice in the Bahamas in August.

Jodie -

DEX - 4. She’s moderately athletic.
STR - 2. Not that athletic.
BODY - 2. See STR.
INT - 18. She is a Brainiac, after all.
WILL - 18. See INT.
MIND - 15. See INT.
INF - 10. Even if she wasn’t a Legionnaire, her powers and potential influence on society warrants this score.
AURA - 14/2. For the first number, Jodie’s intellect is the stuff of legends /magical potential for the second.
SPIRIT - 12. Jodie’s mind allows her to override her emotions in applicable situations, as it’s very much an organic computer.

Fran -

DEX - 10. This is due to her powers
STR - 3/(20). The latter number is for purposes of striking others when using her powers. (She once kicked Tom out cold with one punch.)
BODY - 4/6. See STR.
INT - 3/6. See STR.
WILL - 6. Partially personality, partially Legion training, and mostly finding friends who accept her for herself.
MIND - 9. she managed to keep herself sane during at least a year homeless and disfigured, and at least three as William Appleton’s child-mistress and infiltrator/thief (trained to great skill by the Thieves’ Guild itself).
INF - 10. After her Colbert appearance, Fran’s name is spoken of in the same breath as Malala.
AURA - 10/3. See INF for the former number; the latter for her magical potentials.
SPIRIT - 9. Those four-five years in the cold made Fran sad, but did not break her.

Julia -

DEX - 15/22. (the latter when in flight/using the Speed Force).
STR - 5/10. Same as DEX.
BODY - 8/22. The latter number is when she uses her flight powers (to survive the rigors of unprotected /indefinite space travel).
INT - 8. She graduated from a world-class secondary academy at age thirteen, and effectively graduated from the FBI Academy when she was fifteen.
WILL - 10. U.S. Government and Alliance training is responsible for this.
MIND - 15. See WILL; also, her family and her eventual role that she’s been preparing for throughout her life.
INF - 14. She’s the heiress to the throne of the second largest group of metahuman coalitions/one of the wealthiest families on Earth., and in love with/effectively betrothed to the son of an Elite High Councilor. She can request an audience almost anywhere she goes.
AURA - 15. She is the direct descendant and spitting image of Majel Carlyle - the first female High Chief of the Clan Carlyle, who fought The Elite to a standstill fifteen centuries ago, and sued for peace.
SPIRIT -15. She has inborn mental shielding that can withstand direct, sustained mental probes from multiple Class Five talents. Unless she wants to, she’s not giving up any information or bending the knee to anyone.

Jaime -

DEX - 5. he takes athletics seriously.
STR - 3. Same as DEX.
BODY - 4. Same as DEX.
INT - 6. Don’t be fooled - this boy is dedication. He wants it, and will work hard to get it, whether it’s ten yards down-field or that high grade.
WILL - 10. This is how he’s survived his abusive father, his mom leaving and the POS existence of LHS and CCHS. The ‘Mini’ Contrails is a textbook on the willpower of this kid.
MIND - 15. See WILL; also, her family and her eventual role that she’s been preparing for throughout her life.
INF - 12. People will one day invoke the name of ‘Blackstar’ for fortitude and determination. “That’s Blackstar. He. Just. Won’t. Quit.”
AURA - 10/3. See INF for the first number/his maical potential for the second.
SPIRIT - 9. Someday, it will be 10, or higher.

Karen -

DEX - 6/12. Life as a vigilante hero makes one limber and agile; the second number is when she uses her ‘overclocking’ ability to increase her physical abilities.
STR - 6/25. Same as DEX. (The second number is for her 'overclocking' ability, which allows her to enhance her physical abilities to Kryptonian levels for extremely short periods of time.)
BODY - 8/15. Her mutant physiology has made Karen’s body stronger, more resilient and possessed of greater endurance than one would expect from a person of her size, in order to handle the stress of her powers on her body. The second number is for ‘overclocking’.
INT - 6/8. Karen is not stupid. She’s survived in an violently Darwinian environment and thrived. With her 'overclocking' ability, she can temporarily boost her INT score.
WILL - 12. This is where the ‘inner bitch’ takes full charge and holds the line.
MIND - 11/3. See WILL and BODY. The second number is her resistance to mental attacks and intrusion.
INF - 10. This is NOT necessarily a good thing for Karen.
AURA - 9/3. See INF for the first number/his magical potential for the second.
SPIRIT - 6. When she’s gotten her head on straight, this may rise..

  1. I hate to be a bother but—what are Karen's stats when she "overclocks"?

    1. Probably listed as a separate power:

Overclock: STR 25, BODY 10, INT 10, WILL 15 for one AP of time.
Disadvantage: All AP values and abilities drop to 1 AP for next 24 hours.

    2. I think the BODY would be higher - I listed it as 15. I like the disadvantage. Note also the disadvantage in regard to mental intrusion/attack.

    3. You know, I could have sworn Karen's overclock ability lasted a bit longer than that like about 4 AP's. Of course that's just what I remember from but Daria Wiki so I could be wrong since it seems to be offline for some reason so I can't check.

    4. I need a time-translation on APs.

    5. Well, 0 APs is 4 seconds, 1 AP is 8 seconds, 2 APs is 16 seconds, 3 APs is 32 seconds, 4 APs is 64 seconds, or about a minute and so on.

    6. Okay. In the MSH RPG, they go by 'turns' - 1 turn = 6 seconds. This shouldn't be hard to figure out.

  2. All very good. I am going to have to dive into the old DC Heroes rulebook this weekend and do a few things:

    1) Create some stats for the Flight Ring.
    2) Develop Daria out as a "fully developed" character based on what you've got BG, with all of her powers, abilities, advantages and disadvantages fully explained.
    3) Create a Royal Rumble in combat (no powers allowed) and see who wins.

  4. Oh, yeah. In the MSH RPG, overclocking is an actual ability - it's called 'Focus', and (in its base form) the character can channel all of their powers and ability points into a single use of a single ability or power; they immediately drop to Feeble (2 power points) for ALL attributes and power scores, save the rank of Focus. That rank determines how many points the character recovers per turn, with the points divided equally between all attributes/powers. As you can tell, if you have a powerful character, he or she could be off-line for a while, if they use Focus.

David Allen has a variant of Focus; I was going to just say check it out on the Daria Wiki, but... Damn. The Wiki being down like this is a pain in the (choose favorite word).
